I am a visual artist who loves expressing myself through vibrant colour and brushstrokes. My appreciation of nature and the beauty around us is very important to me.  I strive to express this in my work.

I have enjoyed creating art since my early years growing up in Vernon, British Columbia.  After obtaining a Degree in both Fine Arts and Education I worked as a Graphic Designer in Calgary, Alberta. More recently I lived on the East Coast in Nova Scotia where I continued to paint and also worked as a graphic designer and I have now come full circle and returned to the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia to continue my creative pursuits. 

In most of my artwork I choose to colourfully capture the beauty and delicate nature of flowers using oil paints, but have captured many other subjects as well drawing from the different landscapes around us. A lot of my paintings are relatively large in scale and often give an abstracted and magnified view of flowers reminiscent of the work of Georgia O'Keeffe.
